Being overweight or obese does not only increases different health risks, like diabetes, cancer, osteoarthritis, respiratory diseases, and cardiovascular diseases but it could also influence badly people's social and emotional life. People who are overweight often suffer from low self-confidence, depression, and consider themselves are unattractive.

Because of all these reasons, more and more people are getting conscious of their condition. Losing weight is a tough process; you must be really put a lot of effort and time to achieve a good result.

Even if you do not have any weight problems, it is good to be aware of it anyway and do actions in order to prevent extra weight problems.

If you aim to keep your current weight, you should consume meals that include not higher than 40-50% carb. In order to lose weight, it is reasonable to consume a low- carb food that contains about 25-39% carb. It is not necessary to consume the food with a less level of carb. It is not recommended, because it could cause harmless for health conditions like ketosis. If there is a very high level of ketone it can make turn the blood acidic and thus damage organs like the kidneys and the liver.
