If you need to lose some weight, you should be ready for a hard and long work. There several types of body exist, and some people can eat anything and stay slim, at the same time when it takes to move the world for the others to lose a kilogram.

The problem of overweight and even obesity is not the last in the contemporary world. Moreover, it is getting more and more spread around the globe. The developed countries like the USA know this problem very well. According to statistics, every one of three adults in the USA is obese. So, what is different today?

Of course, obese and overweight people existed all the time. People often have gone from being slim to overweight and vice a verse. But there is something different in the contemporary world if to compare with what it used to be.

Food

Now we have lots of different kinds of food that are tasty, but may not be very healthy. So, basically, this means that foods we eat quite often may contain too much fat or simply not to contain useful for body elements. If you have a look at the Food Pyramid, you will see that there is a need to eat different kinds of food for us. Also, as to quantity of food, you may notice that people at times eat even if they are not very hungry. People may spend too much time in front of TV, eating chips and sandwiches. Lack of time does not allow people to eat normally as well.

Activities

If you sit most of the time while working, it will not help your calories to be burned. Also sedentary lifestyle is quite usual to many people. Of course, many of us wish after a long working day to have some time in front of TV. Thus, we move less.

Those are just two from lots of other reasons for why people start fatten. However, if you just start on diet and exercising, you will be able to achieve some improvement.
